Giveaway winners!

Hi everyone, sorry it took so long for me to get back to you on the winners. I know you all have been anxiously waiting. So here we go...

First prize goes to: ladys0ul

And the 2 mini prizes go to: Lucy and Apaige2u

Congrats to the winners! I'm going to contact them now :)

Oh and for all of you who were wondering what the fimo nail canes were for, you guys can click here , here and here to see some examples of what I've done with them. You have to slice them up (you'll see if you click on all those links, one of them show what they look like all sliced up) and then you can layer them between gel or even clear polish. Anywho, hope that helps and again, congrats to the winners! Don't be stressed if you didn't win, I do giveaways from time to time, so just stay tuned!

Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Solstice Swatches

Summer is coming so I bought something I think I will use a lot. Solstice is one of the four shades of Liquid metals Illamasqua offers. It is so golden and so so so pigmented. The bad thing is that it creases like crazy on my eyes :( even with a primer. But it still can be used as a base for powder eyeshadow, or on lips, face etc. Do you have a Liquid Metal? Any tips to stop the creasing, except changing my eyes? :)

Essence Underwater

Hi all!

How are you all doing today? Most of us Dutchies have the day off tomorrow because of Queensday, but still I'm in a hurry! No time to lose, on to Essence Underwater - One of Essences new colors that the lovely Michèle picked up for me when she was at DM in Germany.

Essence Underwater, three coats in daylight. Underwater is a very bright, though not neon, blue frost. You can see the frostiness in the first picture, while the second is more color accurate. Application on this one was fine, no big deals! I was a bit scared of blue colored nails afterwards, but thankfully I didn't have the slightest staining.

Happy Queensday tomorrow all! Don't go out and celebrate too much ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic with Konad

I can´t wait any longer, so I tried my new Konad plates. I won them from Mary and wanted to take a picture with everything else, but looks like all is lost :( So today I have for you a mani with plate m37. Simple light blue flowers on a darker base.

Už to déle nevydržím a musím vyzkoušet svoje nové konad destičky.

Sesame Street

Hi guys, starting Monday I'm going to be busy... I have lots of things to do, we're going to the dentist for dental checkup, my first born will start to go to school, and some other things to settle..So I won't be going online that much... Anyway, I got time to make this mani when my sister visited, the design was inspired by characters from sesame street, in my thumb I drew Elmo, index- Oscar the grouch, middle- Ernie, ring- cookie monster and pinky- Bert... I forgot to include big bird, I will try it next time... Keep in mind, that if I can do it, so can you...
*This is for you lil' Cheska, I know Elmo is one of your fave... safe trip...you know who you are...
Hope you like it! God Bless you all..

Nail polish haul and swatches! Part 2

Hello again you guys! So Here I am with part 2 of the swatches. I was looking at the pics and I kept thinking that I swear I bought more than this, so I'll have to check around my house later. Anywho, just to let you know in case you haven't checked out part 1, the bottom 1/3 of the nails has Essie's matte about you top coat on it, which is why it's...matte.

So I picked up 3 nail polishes from American Apparel. Yes, I clothing shop. I've only tried this colour, so from what I can tell it took me 3 coats to get it to be completely opaque. I could have gotten away with 2 coats, but I did 3 anyway. I thought it would be bumpy at first once I finished all the coats, but I applied top coat and it smoothed out quite nicely.

I don't really own too many blues, but I like this one.

And is it me or does every colour that looks like this get named peacock?

I got these next 3 polishes I got from Sally Beauty Supply. I love this peachy colour...reminds me of summer.

So does this one.

They were having a buy 2 get 1 free on the polishes, but you have to pick them from the same brand. I was having a hard time picking the 3rd one, so I just grabbed this one. I didn't want to spend all day there staring at the very small collection they had. I'm not normally into metallic/frosty/sheen type colours, but maybe I'll feel like rocking this sometime soon!

Okay, that's it for now. Hope you guys liked the swatches. Take care and good nite!
