My nails #12: Represent where you're from

Hi everyone! How's it going? Ugh...me and the fams were all sick for a while there. Actually my daughter has had a cold twice in the last month. Gross.

Anyway, I've taken off my gels cuz I really want to grow and strengthen my natural nails and I find that I'm too finicky with colour. I'm constantly wanting to change my nail colour/nail art from day to day, so I figure that artificials aren't the way to go for me at the moment. I can't keep putting them on and then taking them off the next week. Too damaging, so I've just been playing with some nail art stuff.

I'm working 3 days a week at the moment, so I get a 4 day weekend to play with colour until I have to take it off for work (polish on your own hands is such a mess when you have to manicures and pedicures...it is when you have to take off your client's old polish anyway!)

Here are my nails at the moment...click on it to enlarge...

It reads "I (heart) East Van". I was listening to Keri Hilson and she told me to represent where I'm from not where I live, baby keep it real. So I did. Haha, I call them my ghetto fabulous nails and if you've been to East Van, then you know what I'm talking about. I'm really digging the old school tattoo font at the moment.

Anyway, I ordered some Models Own polishes from the UK (the colours are amazing!) and I'm dying to get them. I've actually got a few things to show you guys that I've gotten recently so keep your eyes peeled! I'll see you guys soon, hope you have a great weekend!
